Huddersfield Town are close to agreeing a two-year contract with keeper Joe Murphy.

But moves for his Coventry colleagues Cyrus Christie, Franck Moussa and Callum Wilson appear far less likely.

All four played under Town boss Mark Robins when he managed the West Midlands club between September 2012 and February 2013.

In a further link, Town’s football operations director Ross Wilson worked with Coventry manager Steven Pressley at Falkirk.

Defender Christie, 21, and Belgian midfielder Moussa, 24 are both out of contract and set to leave the Sky Blues.

Striker Wilson, 22, has a year to run on his deal, but seems sure to be sold, with Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest both believed to be in the hunt.

Sources suggest Town made an unsuccessful bid to bring in Christie, for whom Coventry are now entitled to compensation because of his age, during the January transfer window.

It’s believed Coventry want any transfer fee to go to tribunal, a route Town are unwilling to go down.

There is also speculation Christie could head for the United States, in which case his club would miss out on compensation.

Moussa, signed by Robins from Nottingham Forest in September 2012, is available on a free.

He is on Town’s radar, but it seems there are other midfielders on Robins’ wanted list.

Town have played down speculation linking them with Brentford’s Bradford-born former Hull striker Clayton Donaldson.
