Huddersfield Town defender Jake Carroll is joining Bury on loan.

The 22-year-old former Home Farm and Belvedere player will train with the Gigg Lane club tomorrow in readiness for their League II trip to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Carroll has made seven appearance for Town since signing from St Patrick’s Athletic in the summer.

He made his Town debut in the Capital One Cup against Bradford City in August and his Championship debut four days later in the 1-1 draw with QPR at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Carroll last figured for Mark Robins’ senior side in the Capital One Cup defeat at Hull City in September.
