Huddersfield Town defender Jordan Williams won his fourth England Under 17 cap in the 8-0 win over San Marino in Portugal.

It was a successful start to the 2016 European Championship qualifying campaign for Steve Cooper’s side.

England face Armenia on Thursday and Portugal on Sunday as they aim to take a step nearer next year’s 16-team tournament in Azerbaijan.

The top two in each group and the five highest-ranked third-placed teams will join Germany in the elite round qualifiers in March.

Centre-back Williams is from Meltham and joined Town’s academy at nine years old.

He earned his first three Under 17 caps in August as England finished runners-up to Portugal in the FA International Tournament.
