Huddersfield Town will come face to face with former favourite Nathan Clarke when they head to Spain later this month.

Chris Powell’s Championship team will take on League II Leyton Orient at the end of their week-long stay at the La Cala complex near Marbella.

And the East Londoners, who are also taking in a sunshine training trip to Southern Spain, are skippered by Clarke.

The friendly will be on Saturday, July 18 (11.00am) at La Cala, with admission free.

It’s a fifth confirmed warm-up game for Town, who go to National League Guiseley on Saturday week, July 11, the day before they leave for Spain.

Powell’s squad will return the day after the Orient match and head for National League Grimsby Town on Tuesday, July 21.

The other two friendlies are at League I sides Rochdale on Saturday, July 25 and Barnsley on Saturday, August 1.

Orient have three other warm-up games lined up. They will visit Braintree Town and Colchester United either side of the Town match-up, then have a trip to Woking.

The Os, relegated from League I last season, have signed former West Ham United forwards Blair Turgott and Paul McCallum.

The 21-year-olds played under new Orient boss Ian Hendon in the Premier League club’s development squad.

Ex-Bradford City loan player Turgott left the Hammers in January to join Coventry City, while McCallum was released at the end of last season.

Orient have also brought in defender Sean Clohessy from Colchester and midfielder Sammy Moore from AFC Wimbledon.

Hendon said: “Playing against Huddersfield will be a good test for us at the end of a tough camp.”

While Town kick-off their league campaign at Hull City on Saturday, August 8, Orient have a London derby at home to promoted Barnet.
