Huddersfield Town fans are craving a three-point return against Reading amid a difficult spell of fixtures and are hoping to see more goals.

David Wagner’s side have failed to score in their last two matches and have not won in three since the back-to-back successes against Nottingham Forest and Wolves.

Town remain seven points above the drop zone with 11 games to play, and fans are keen to see their side cash in against Reading ahead of a tough handful of matches.

Talking on the Examiner’s Huddersfield Town Facebook page, fan Darren Wormald reflected on Town’s 2-0 defeat at Derby County by saying: “Looking at the stats, another case of missing chances – the difference between top and bottom teams.

“Wagner will pull us through, but points are needed with a tough run in on the fixture list.

“The worry factor creeps in when you actually look at the fixtures Town have.

“Now the positive side of me says Wagner has these guys playing well and results will come. The other side says it’s business end of the season and a lot of our fixtures are against teams looking up who have spent big.

“We need to stay positive, but also need points – starting againt Reading!”

James Smith countered “unexpected points will come” while Nick Hampshire bemoaned Town’s lack of firepower.

“More target practice,” he said. “Thirty seven shots in the last two matches, but no goals.”

Mike Wilson feels a striker import is needed or Town risk going down, and Mick Carter said: “We need someone with experience up front to help Wells asap.”
