Huddersfield Town fans have admitted to feelings of excitement and optimism ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

And that's regardless of a season which has left many feeling disappointed and frustrated.

The arrival of David Wagner has made Town more attractive on the pitch, and the overwhelming feeling is he can make them more competitive as well.

When asked about this current season in our survey, the most common word used was disappointing, while others that popped up were inconsistent, poor and mixed.

But asked about the 2016/17 campaign, and the most common work was optimistic, with excited and hopeful also figuring highly.

Town have already moved to sign Michael Hefele, Chris Loewe and Rajiv van La Parra to permanent deals this summer as they look to a brighter future.

And Loewe admitted it was Wagner that was key to his decision to choose Huddersfield.

Those new signings, combined with the man in the hotseat, mean that 48% think a top half finish next season is the most likely outcome - while 21.28% reckon the top ten, and 6.71% are anticipating the play-offs.
