Huddersfield Town fans are pleased with much of what they are seeing after 11 points from a possible 15 – but feel there is more improvement to come.

Following the 1-1 draw with Brighton at the John Smith’s Stadium, Arthur from Shepley said: “Good performance.

“We needed a patient approach against a good footballing side. It will be a good learning experience for our team.

“We can only get more confident in the future.”

Danny from Outlane added: “Started brightly, looking good until Brighton scored, then strangely went to stalemate in second half.

“Scannell looked the only way through, but we can’t expect to win every time.”

Paul, from Morley, echoed those sentiments.

“Good start but ran out of ideas in midfield,” he said.

“Scannell should have been replaced earlier due to fatigue but, defensively, we were unrecognisable from the start of the season.”

David from Huddersfield was frustrated by Jacob Butterfield over-hitting too many corners, while Andrew would have preferred Nahki Wells to have started.

Another, Steve from town, felt Wells should have been sent on from the bench, along with Martin Paterson.

He said: “Why have three subs to use and not use them?

“All the other teams who drew at home brought on subs to try and win the game.

“With three tough games coming up, what a chance to bring Wells and Paterson on – tell them get a winner!”

Rod from Lepton summed up: “Another good display, everyone worked hard, but we could not get near through the Brighton defence.”
