The last day of Huddersfield Town's season was a fantastic nail-biter - but most Town fans would probably hope to be safely above the relegation zone by then.

But will Huddersfield Town motor up the table or will they go into freefall in the coming weeks?

The honest answer is that no-one really knows but sports analysts have provided us with a look at how they believe the table will shape up between now and May 3.

It appears Leicester will be marching on to promotion - with a total in excess of 100 points.

The figures also suggest that Burnley, who pre-season weren't expected to make waves, will snatch second spot and head back to the promised land of the Premier League.

Down at the other end of the table, Barnsley, beaten 5-0 by Town, are predicted to finish bottom.

The figures show that they will be joined by Huddersfield Town's opponent's tonight Charlton and Yeovil, where Duane Holmes is currently on loan.

The projected table is calculated to who each team has left to play in the league and then compares that to how they have previously performed against teams of that calibre this season.

By breaking the league down into bands (top four team = band 6, team in next four = band 5 etc) the analysts were able to see, on average, how many points teams gained from clubs in each band. This was then cross-referenced with upcoming fixtures to project the final total.
