As every Huddersfield Town fan knows, there are plenty of local skirmishes on the horizon in the coming season.

No fewer than eight Yorkshire derbies are on the menu this term, with Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley, and Rotherham all inhabiting the same division as Town.

And fans will be keen to circle those key dates in red pen in the diaries.

The two West Yorkshire derbies with Leeds promise to be crackers, with memories of that 4-1 last season still fresh in the memory.

The first clash with the Whites is at Elland Road on September 10, with the home return on February 4.

Sheffield Wednesday visit the John Smith's Stadium on October 15, before hosting Town on January 14.

The two games with Barnsley fall on Saturday August 20 (home) and Saturday February 25 (away).

While fans can plan for the trip to the New York Stadium to face Rotherham on Valentine's Day. Rotherham visit Huddersfield on Tuesday September 27.
