Striker Martin Paterson missed training with Huddersfield Town today through illness.

The shaven-headed frontman made his return in the 5-1 Championship derby defeat by Leeds United after a three-match injury absence.

But he fell ill during yesterday and didn't report to the PPG Canalside training ground today as manager Mark Robins picked up the pieces to start preparing for Saturday's visit of Wigan Athletic to the John Smith's Stadium.

At this stage, Robins does not know when his 26-year-old signing from Burnley will be able to rejoin the full squad.

Wingman Adam Hammill remains under treatment for the leg injury he suffered in the FA Cup defeat to Charlton and appears to be responding well.
