Huddersfield Town defender Liam Ridehalgh will make his move to League One outfit Tranmere Rovers a permanent one later this week.

The 22-year-old graduate of Town's Academy has been on loan for three months on loan at Prenton Park this season and has made 17 starts - scoring one goal.

Ridehalgh departs Town having made 26 appearances in the 2010/11 season, with his senior experience bringing loan spells at Swindon Town, Rotherham United and two separate periods spent at Chesterfield.

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins commented: “Liam is a good professional, a great person and has been at the Club for over a decade, but at this stage of his career he needs regular football and this move will allow him to get that."
