Hot Huddersfield Town prospect Jake Charles in the Wales stand-by squad for the UEFA Under 19 elite round qualifying tournament in Portugal.
Manager Geraint Williams has named an 18-man squad for the round-robin tournament, with forward Charles among 12 players on stand-by.
Wales are in group seven, and will play Belgium on May 28, Portugal on May 30 and Greece on June 2.
The group winners will progress to the eight-nation finals, which take place in Hungary between July 19-24.
Charles, the 18-year-old grandson of Welsh footballing legend John Charles, turned professional with Town last year and was this season’s 22-goal top scorer for the juniors, who won the Professional Development League II North title and made the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals.
He also made two starts and six substitute appearances for the Under 21s, scoring once.
Town Juniors will head to Oldham for a friendly on Saturday, July 25 (2.00).
