Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan has taken to Twitter to dispel rumours that he isn't fit.

The striker, who has been told he won't be offered a new contract, tweeted that he was 'fully fit and feeling good'.

He had earlier posted a message on the social network suggesting that fans hadn't had the whole truth about him.

The striker was linked with a move to Wigan Athletic - but the deal didn't go through today.

He went onto point out that he had been advised not to play earlier in his Town career for six weeks after sustaining a fractured eye socket and cheekbone .

But he added that after the injury in January this year he was back within a week.

The 27-year-old, a £600,000 signing from Norwich City two years ago, could leave when the Football League loan window opens next week.

Vaughan has played just once this season, from the bench in the 1-1 home draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.
