Huddersfield Town will have less substitutes on the bench

HUDDERSFIELD Town will select from only five substitutes on the bench this coming season.

They were among the vast majority of clubs who voted in favour of the move to reduce from seven at an egm yesterday.

Town’s director of operations Ann Hough explained: “It will help all clubs to reduce costs and save a significant amount of money on travelling expenses and playing bonuses.”

Clubs will, however, still be able to use three of the substitutes.
