Huddersfield Town look set to extend Murray Wallace’s loan to Scunthorpe United into a third month.

The entre-back has made 11 League I appearances and one in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy for former Town boss Mark Robins’ side.

His current agreement extends after Saturday’s home game against Barnsley.

Scunthorpe, who also have Town forward Joe Lolley on loan, are keen to keep the 22-year-old defender, and Town, who have a 24-hour recall clause on both players, are likely to make a final decision over the weekend.

“I would love to stay,” said Wallace. “I have been playing games and am really happy here.

“I just want to play football and that is where I am now. My main aim is just to play so I am not thinking too much about anything else.”

Former Scotland Under 21 international Wallace, signed from Falkirk for £300,000 in 2012, has made 58 Town appearances.

He has scored four times for the club, one of his goals coming in this season’s 2-1 Capital One Cup first-round home defeat by Notts County.

Lolley’s loan was this week extended until November 21. He has played six times (three of them starts).
