Wolfsburg goalkeeper Max Grun is the latest name from German football to be linked with a move to Huddersfield Town.

I's no secret the club are seeking to bolster the position - with two stoppers set to arrive this summer.

Jed Steer will return to Aston Villa after the conclusion of his loan, while Joe Murphy is out for up to six months, leaving David Wagner short in the goalkeeping department.

With two of Town's summer acquisitions already confirmed as coming from Germany, Chris Loewe and Michael Hefele, it's no surprise to see speculation surrounding another name from the country in a position of need.

Grun, who completed his youth footballing education at Bayern Munich, left for SpVgg Greuther Furth in 2009, where he was the owner of the No1 shirt as his side won the 2. Bundesliga title in 2011-12.

The stopper has been with Wolfsburg since 2013, serving as back-up to Diego Benaglio.

He signed a three year deal with the club, who reached the quarter finals of this season's Champions League, meaning he is out of contract this summer and would not command a fee.
