It's one left-back in, one out at Huddersfield Town, with Jake Carroll being loaned to Partick Thistle until January after the arrival of England Under 21 defender Jack Robinson on loan from QPR.

The 23-year-old Irishman trained with the Glasgow club today ahead of their Scottish Premiership match at Aberdeen tomorrow.

Signed from Dublin side St Patrick’s Athletic the summer before last, Carroll has made seven Town appearances.

He had a loan stint at Bury last season, playing six times.

Carroll will link up with his former Town teammate Kallum Higginbotham at Thistle.

His loan runs until January 5.
