Teenage Huddersfield Town defender William Boyle has joined Kidderminster Harriers on loan for the rest of this season.

The Vanarama Conference club have six games to go, starting at home to Braintree Town on Saturday.

Centre-back Boyle made his Town debut as a substitute in the 3-0 home win over Reading last month.

The 19-year-old has also made 27 appearances for Frankie Bunn's development squad this season and has scored one goal.

Born in Leeds, he qualifies for Scotland through his father and has been on two Under 18 training camps.

Bunn believes the defensive prodigy's move to Aggborough will be beneficial for the player's future.

“William has been a standout performer for the Club’s Under-21 team this season and fully deserves this opportunity to further his development,” he said.

“He has made big strides in his development as a player in his first year as a professional and I believe there is still a lot more to come as he gets older and physically stronger.

“This loan to Kidderminster Harriers is a great first loan move for William as he’ll go into a good team playing at a good level of football. It’s a great opportunity for him to go out, play, learn and set himself up for next season.”
