Jack Robinson is set to return to Huddersfield Town from England Under 21 duty to join in with preparations for Saturday’s home Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

The on-loan QPR left-back was an unused substitute in the 3-2 friendly defeat by France in Brest, a first loss under coach Gareth Southgate and the team’s first defeat in 13 games.

Liverpool product Robinson had earned his 10th cap from the bench in the first game of the double-header, a 3-1 win over Portugal at Burnley.

Southgate is preparing for next summer’s European Under 21 Championship finals in the Czech Republic, for which 21-year-old Robinson remains eligible.

He is on a season-long loan from Loftus Road and has so far made 11 appearances.
