Huddersfield Town will be keeping tabs on Hull City’s reported interest in £12m-rated Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.

The John Smith’s Stadium club sold the prolific scorer to Rovers for £8m two years ago and stand to receive 20% of the profit if he makes another move.

Rhodes signed a lucrative new deal at Blackburn last month but has struggled in the system boss Gary Bowyer has played this season – and the club’s Indian owners Venky’s may cash in.

Hull’s former Town manager Steve Bruce is keen to replace Shane Long, who has joined Southampton in a £12m switch.

It’s reported Hull’s offer will be an initial £8m plus substantial add-ons.

A move would give 24-year-old Scotland international Rhodes the chance to test himself at Premier League level.

Rhodes notched 87 goals in three seasons at Town after moving from Ipswich in a £400,000 deal in 2009.

He has scored 53 times for Blackburn, including a hat trick in the 4-2 win over Town at the John Smith’s last season.
