There’s a former Huddersfield Town player who’ll be spending a lot of time on the M1 in the next few months.

That’s because Kenji Gorre – son of Dean – has joined Northampton Town from Swansea City on loan until January.

The 21-year-old Kenji, a winger who was loaned out to Den Haag last season, has been snapped up by another former Town man, Rob Page.

“He’s somebody I looked at a couple of years back and he was at the age where they wanted to keep him,” said Page of the player who was four when his dad came to Huddersfield.

“We’ll have to be patient, he’s not the finished article.

“If he was, he’d be playing in Swansea’s first team.”

Gorre has made just one first-team appearance at Swansea but will be hoping to make his mark in League One.

His dad played for Town from 1999 to 2001 before moving on to Barnsley and Blackpool. He has, most recently, been coach of Suriname (where he was born).
