Chris Powell believes he and Huddersfield Town fans are “getting to know each other”.

The manager was delighted by the 1,593-strong backing at Blackburn Rovers, where the total crowd was 14,662.

The goalless draw was Town’s second away game in three days after the 3-1 at Wolves.

Powell had a noted rapport with the Charlton Athletic faithful during his time at The Valley.

And he said: “Our fans have been terrific, turning up in numbers at the last two games.

“I am getting to know them and they are getting to know me.

“I want to interact with the supporters, and I want my team to as well.

“I might be new to the club and the area, but I feel comfortable here.”

The next away game for Powell’s side, who have home games against Blackpool on Saturday week and Brighton on Tuesday, October 21, is at Ipswich Town on Saturday 25.
