Mark Robins says Huddersfield Town are in good shape going into their latest derby challenge at Doncaster.

But as his side plot the first-ever win at the Keepmoat Stadium which would hoist them back into the top half of the Championship, he warned of the tough test which awaits.

While Town aim to build on their 5-0 home win over Barnsley, Paul Dickov’s Rovers, who earned a goalless draw at the John Smith’s Stadium back in September, are desperate to bounce back after losing by the same scoreline at Bournemouth, leaving them 20th to Town’s 13th.

But the boss has warned his players to forget about both of last Saturday’s results and focus on their latest challenge.

“I was really pleased with the performance last Saturday, and obviously we want to push on, but we have to be ready for a hard game,” said Robins, who has 12-goal top scorer James Vaughan making progress in his recovery from a calf injury but not yet ready to return to duty.

“They will be desperate to make amends for that defeat at Bournemouth, and we know only too well what a difficult place that can be (Town lost 2-1 there in January).

Robins will welcome back midfielder Ollie Norwood and striker Martin Paterson, who both played by Northern Ireland in Wednesday’s goalless friendly draw in Cyprus.

Doncaster have on-loan Southampton striker Billy Sharp back after a three-match ban.

But Tottenham defender Bongani Khumalo will be unavailable to Dickov.

The 27-year-old has had surgery on a knee injury sustained while playing in South Africa’s 5-0 defeat by Brazil in Johannesburg and faces six months on the sidelines.

It’s the first of three games in eight days for Town, who head to Charlton on Wednesday and host Blackburn next Saturday.
