Town's Championship match at Charlton Athletic will now be played on Wednesday, March 12, at The Valley.
It has been moved back 24 hours because Charlton’s FA Cup quarter-final against Sheffield United will be played on Sunday March 9.
Town’s Operations Director Ann Hough explained: “The club understands that a change in date for this fixture in London at this stage is not ideal, as fans may have already made arrangements for travel and accommodation for the Tuesday.
“We sympathise and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but Huddersfield Town has been a victim of Charlton’s success in the FA Cup.
“With their quarter-final match scheduled for the previous Sunday, we have no choice in this fixture move. No alternative midweek date is available due to Charlton’s fixture backlog and Football League regulations dictate that they can make this change.”
