Huddersfield Town and Middlesbrough are waiting to learn whether there will be any repercussions from Saturday’s post-match tunnel clash between players.

Stewards are believed to have stepped in, with the skirmish coming after Boro clinched a 2-1 win with an injury-time penalty .

Players had clashed in the first half following James Vaughan’s challenge on keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos which earned the Town striker a booking.

Words appeared to be exchanged between Town skipper Lee Peltier and Boro’s Lee Tomlin.

Referee Kevin Wright spoke to both Peltier and Boro captain Grant Leadbitter during a situation which took more than three minutes to resolve.
