Mark Hudson says Huddersfield Town must make the most of the season’s final international break.

Chris Powell’s 18th-placed side have to wait until Saturday week to make amends for the 2-0 home defeat by Fulham.

They head to Sheffield Wednesday for the first of two games in three days (Ipswich Town come to the John Smith’s Stadium on Easter Monday).

Powell’s side, nine points above the relegation zone with seven games to go, haven’t won in their last six.

Forward Harry Bunn has missed the last two games with a hamstring problem while midfielder Jonathan Hogg and defender Tommy Smith took knocks against Fulham.

Skipper Hudson said: “With the small squad we have plus a few injuries, it could be a good time to have a blank weekend.

“We have the chance to put a few things this week right without the pressure of an upcoming match.

“There are things we have to improve, especially the way we are starting and ending games.

“We have some big teams still to play, but we certainly believe we can gain points and positions.”

Town striker Nahki Wells is set to win his seventh Bermuda cap in the opening World Cup qualifier in the Bahamas on Wednesday.

The CONCACAF first round, first leg tie takes place in Nassau.
