It was a miserable night for Huddersfield Town and their fans as a brace from Notts County's Liam Noble saw the Terriers crash out of the League Cup.

Despite taking the lead through a Murray Wallace header, the League Two side equalised just before half-time through midfielder Noble.

The 24-year old then went on to grab a spectacular second, lobbing Joe Murphy from 35-yards in a game which also saw a power cut just before kick-off.

Post-match, Terriers manager Chris Powell admitted his side needed more quality and fresh ideas after witnessing his side fail to break down the stubborn League Two opposition who also had a player sent off late on.
