Huddersfield Town are considered one of the favourites to suffer relegation from the Championship next season, according to league sponsors SkyBet.

Town may face battles to hold onto both Danny Ward, who is attracting the interest of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Ipswich Town , and Adam Clayton, with several of the relegated Premier League sides looking at Town's prized asset .

Manager Mark Robins will also have to work on a tight budget as the club looks to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and bolstering a squad which stuttered to survival will be important if Town are to challenge higher up the league table.

This ties in with SkyBet's early take on Town ahead of next term, with the bookmaker putting the Terriers as 9/4 joint-second favourites to fall through the Championship trap door.

Charlton Athletic and Millwall, who also struggled in 2013/2014 are alongside Town as one of the teams regarded as likely strugglers, while Blackpool are the outright favourites for the drop at 13/8.

Unsurprisingly, the three relegated Premier League sides are being tipped as the favourites to win the division, with Norwich City marginally out on top at 9/1 while Cardiff City and Fulham are 10/1 to be crowned champions.

Wigan Athletic are next on 11/1, while there may be value in Reading or Brighton and Hove Albion at 14/1.

We await the outcome of Derby County against QPR on Saturday in the Championship play-off final for a place in the Premier League and the League One final between Leyton Orient and Rotherham United to determine the exact make-up of the division, but the teams already promoted from the third tier are expected to acclimatise well, according to the odds.

Last season's eventual champions Wolves are 13/2 to secure back-to-back promotions and are priced at 8/1 to finish in the bottom three. Fellow new boys Brentford are slightly less fancied, with a 10/1 shot at promotion and joint with Birmingham City on 9/2 to fall straight back down into League One.
