Huddersfield Town today welcomed record numbers to their John Smith's Stadium annual Open Day.
The Examiner-sponsored event attracted more than 1,000 school children, parents, grand-parents and supporters and was heralded a massive success by the club's commercial director Sean Jarvis.
Supporters watched Mark Robins' squad do an hour-and-a-half training session on the stadium pitch and then enjoyed a tour behind the scenes including the dressing rooms and boardroom.
This afternoon will see players spending time meeting the fans, signing autographs and having pictures taken.
Mr Jarvis said: "It's a superb day; this is our fourth annual open day and we've got record numbers again which is terrific.
"It's a great free event, it opens up the club to the community and hopefully they will come down all season and back us.
"It's a very exciting time with the first Championship match against Nottingham Forrest just a few days away and the club is progressing superbly.
"There's a great deal of work gone on bringing new faces into the squad, our latest being Jonathan Hogg from Watford, there's been a massive amount of progress down at Canalside and I think having a full season in the Championship will now stand us in good stead going forward.
"Commercially we are very happy indeed, partnerships are up to a new high of 63 and we've got a new announcement pending about Canalside - so it's all exciting times."
