Huddersfield Town and Hull City could make changes for tomorrow’s Capital One Cup third-round clash at the KC Stadium.

Former Huddersfield Town boss Steve Bruce, whose Tigers side claimed a 3-2 Premier League win at Newcastle on Saturday, brought in a string of new faces when his side knocked out Leyton Orient in the last round.

Meanwhile, current John Smith’s Stadium chief Mark Robins emerged from Huddersfield Town’s goalless Championship draw at Blackburn to say: “There may be an opportunity for one or two who have been on the periphery so far.”

Robins, who will today run a check on centre-back Joel Lynch (knee) is mindful that Town are back in league action at home to Blackpool in front of the Sky cameras on Friday.

“We really want to progress in the competition, but I need to strike a balance between playing tomorrow and again on Friday,” he said.

“Whichever players I put out, I need them to give me a really good 90 minutes.”

Holders Swansea have given Town permission to play Jazz Richards.
