ALEX Smithies stands a chance of crossing the white line for Huddersfield Town tomorrow.

The 'keeper had to be stitched up after a freak training ground accident with Danny Cadamarteri and missed the game against Preston.

But the stitches are now out of his damaged ear and in this morning's Press conference manager Simon Grayson confirmed the stopper could take back his place.

The manager also confirmed that hernia victim Tommy Miller and Oscar Gobern and Damien Johnson, both out for a while after sustaining hamstring injuries, are back in contention.

The trio took part in the midweek development game against Middlesbrough, which Town lost 5-2, and came through with no serious side-effects.
