Huddersfield Town's deadline-day exodus continued with the departure of Danny Carr, who has moved on loan to Dagenham and Redbridge for the rest of the season.

Carr has been unable to break into the Town first-team setup despite an injury crisis in attack which has led to the signing of Ishmael Miller today, with fellow youngsters Matt Crooks and Jordan Sinnott both also leaving the club .

The 20-year-old has been on loan at Mansfield Town, who are four places and two points below the Daggers in League Two, and he scored one goal in four appearances during is stay at Field Mill.

Manager Chris Powell said getting Carr first-team opportunities was vital after sanctioning the deal.

“Daniel is at the stage in his career where first-team football is absolutely vital, and given the situation with our squad I can’t guarantee this at the moment,” he said.

“This loan deal suits everyone involved as Daniel has already shown he has ability and potential; this is why I feel this loan to Dagenham and Redbridge is perfect.

“We are all looking for Daniel to impress on loan and we wish him all the best.”
