Jon Stead is back at Huddersfield Town after his loan stint at League I Oldham.

The 30-year-old striker made four starts and one appearance from the bench for the Boundary Park side, but was unable to get on the scoresheet.

He was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Tranmere.

Stead returned for a second spell at Town last summer, but has been restricted to 14 appearances, eight of them from the bench.

His sole goal was the winner in the 3-2 home victory over Leeds in October.

Town have midfielders Duane Holmes out on loan at Championship rivals Yeovil and Chris Atkinson at League I Bradford.

Defender Jake Carroll is with Bury and development striker Paul Mullin at non-league club Vauxhall Motors.

Relegation-threatened Charlton will play host to Town on Wednesday, March 12.
