TOWN fans who travelled to Stockport last Saturday had a fantastic afternoon.

In not the best of conditions we totally controlled the game, got an early goal to settle the nerves and, once that third went in, looked like we’d score on every attack.

It is a long time since we won 6-0 away and a memory that will stay with us a long time, not least because it cemented our place in the play-off places.

Five wins out of six games in April was something none of our rivals could live with.

Lee Clark attended the April Patrons’ meeting and came armed with statistics about performances and was, as usual, straightforward about how things were going – straightforward too in his answers to questions from a very supportive group.

Our thanks go to Lee and to all those who attended and asked questions.

At the next meeting chairman Dean Hoyle and board members will be open to question. The meeting is to be held on Thursday, May 6 (7.00 for 7.30). in the English Partnership Suite, Direct Golf Stand Level 3. This meeting is now open to all Town fans.

Before the meeting a charity game is taking place at the Galpharm in aid of the Keep it Up Campaign.

The earlier start is to encourage many of those attending to stay and join us for this, our last meeting of the season.

Dean and his colleagues have always been very supportive of Patrons’ meetings.

Come and hear their views on the season past and their plans for the season coming. We will be having some tables reserved for Patrons and a members-only draw so please bring your membership card.

Any Patrons unable to attend but who have a question they would like asking should write to info@htafcpatrons.com

The Future of the Patrons Association

Mark Davies, Town’s Business Development Manager has been working closely with Cammie Batten and the Patrons Committee to improve what the Patrons Association offers members. There are some great ideas on the table and we hope to have a package agreed for a re-launch later this year so keep your eyes peeled!

Meanwhile, the immediate future sees Town’s last home fixture (before the play-offs) this week and this is a reminder for all those season ticket holders who would like to be in the Pink Link (South) Stand for this match to get their tickets transferred before Saturday.

Let’s create a great atmosphere and help our in-form team to push on with another win and get as high as possible in the final league table.

Likewise with the last match of the fixture list at Exeter a week on Saturday.

The HTSA coach is priced at £21 or £19 (Juniors) and the departure time is 7:30am from the stadium. Mathematically, this match could see Town clinching automatic promotion. Stranger things have happened! Please ring Michael on 07926 165863 to book your seat.
