FIRST let’s start with the victory over Bristol City – well done to Sean Scannell with his first goal for Town.

It wasn’t a great match but, nevertheless, we got back to winning ways.

We welcomed back Town old boy Jon Stead, who received a warm reception from the Terriers faithful and, subsequently, Tuesday night brought the return of Jordan Rhodes with Blackburn Rovers.

Jordan received a great reception and, true to form, scored the first Rovers goal (it always seems to happen when our players move on!), levelling Lee Novak’s opener.

A contentious penalty then gave Blackburn a 2-1 lead before a stoppage-time equaliser, again from Novak, had Town fans in raptures.

It was no more than Town deserved for their constant battling and commitment – and this will be seen as an excellent point, especially without Beckford and Vaughan.

We are starting a new feature in the HTSA Examiner column every week now which will basically be a teaser quiz relating to the opponents we play on the Saturday.

The first person to email the answer at competitions@htsa-online.co.uk is the winner, and this will be announced on the HTSA website and in next week’s Examiner.

This week’s question is: Who scored Towns first-leg play-off goal against Barnsley at Oakwell in 2006?

We hope to be offering a prize in the coming weeks to whoever wins, so watch this space.

An open meeting for supporters with Simon Grayson and his management team has now been arranged for Thursday, December 13 (not November 22).

The meeting starts at 7.30pm and the venue has been confirmed as The Barclays Club, 189-191 North Road, Dewsbury, WF13 3AH.
