HTSA would like to urge all Town fans to get right behind the lads this Saturday against Cardiff City.

In fact, we need that support for the rest of the season as well – let’s be the 12th man, help the lads get over the line and ensure Championship safety!

Against Crystal Palace at home we saw a spirited performance by the Terriers, with James Vaughan’s coolly-taken goal giving us our first win in the 13 league matches.

Last Saturday was disappointing, however, as we crashed to a 3- 0 defeat at Derby.

Now we have league leaders Cardiff City visiting the John Smith’s in what is sure to be a really tough game – and our fans have a major role to play in helping out the team.

Being only five points above the drop zone puts us in a precarious position and the backing from a vociferous Town following is vital.

On Tuesday, HTSA was represented by Bob Farrell at a Parliamentary meeting of over 60 MPs, including Jason McCartney, to press for the implementation of some key recommendations of the Select Committee on Football Governance.

In particular, these include the establishment of an Expert Group to explore methods of removing barriers to increased collective supporter share ownership in their clubs, and a call for the designation of sports stadia as Assets of Community Value, as detailed in the 2011 Localism Act.

This last point saw the launch of ‘Grounds for Benefit’, featuring amongst others an analysis of our own John Smith’s Stadium – except it isn’t our own.

Perhaps the best way forward is for the stadium to become an Asset of Community Value.
