HTSA representatives had a meeting with the club, including chief executive Nigel Clibbens, to discuss a number of points.

The club see the Supporter Liaison Officer role as one which will develop in the future, ideally to a stage where there will be a small SLO team feeding into a chief SLO, with a point of contact at the club.

The current SLO is getting to know all supporter groups, and it was agreed that steps would be taken to set up key contacts within each supporter group for the SLO.

Dean Hoyle is still committed to putting in trust the stadium shares owned by the club, but the club are looking at any possible implications for Financial Fair Play and HDOne.

PPG Canalside is owned by Dean and leased to the club. Any move to register PPG Canalside as an Asset of Community Value would not be regarded as a negative and HTSA pointed out that this could be seen as being entirely consistent with Dean’s own view of community affairs.

With regard to the matchday programme, it was pointed out that sales have been declining for several years despite efforts to increase the quality and value. The club have had a record of trying innovative ideas and trying to change things for the better, and the new paper-style programme is a response to fans’ feedback and consultation.

The aim always was to make it a programme fans want to buy that is viable to sell. If this format doesn’t work either, a return to the
traditional format is also unlikely as that was unviable – fans didn’t buy enough to make that work.

HTSA Travel are en route to Blackburn Rovers. The price is £10 for members and £12 for non members (departure time Noon from the stadium).
