TO MISQUOTE another well-known Town supporter, a week in football is a long time!

It was a week that has seen the dismissal of Lee Clark and the appointment of Simon Grayson as our new manager – welcome, Simon.

The Supporters Association hopes all Town fans will endorse the actions of our chairman, Dean Hoyle, and throw their full support behind Simon as he begins to try to deliver promotion.

Town’s defeat last Tuesday, followed by an inactive Saturday, has left us seven points adrift of an automatic promotion spot, so this is a tall order, but we still have over a third of the season to go.

Dean’s own commitment to the cause has resulted in a very strong squad being assembled and surely everyone is looking forward eagerly to this Saturday’s match as a first indication of our new management team’s ability to work with that squad.

Next up after Exeter is Stevenage. Let’s hope their Cup replay the following week will be something of a distraction for them as we seek to put some distance between us and teams below us.

It’s a mid-week match, of course, but perhaps the new set-up will attract more away support than normal.

HTSA is running a coach to Stevenage, leaving the Stadium at 3pm (£17 for members).

HTSA has absorbed the cost of the Orient coach and a full refund is available to all who travelled. Perhaps you want to use that to pay for Stevenage? Email htsaway@gmail.com or contact 07926 16586 to book your seat next Tuesday or to let us know how you want this refund to be made.

Alternatively, call into the St. Andrew’s cabin this Saturday before the match.
