The Huddersfield Town Supporters Association are to stage a five-a-side walking football tournament in aid of charity.

HTSA will be hoping to help their nominated charity Yorkshire Cancer Research.

The event is to be held on Sunday, August 3, at The Zone on St Andrews Road.

Entering a team is free, however fans have to have to pledge a minimum of £50 in charity donations to enter, and at least member of each team has to be over 40 or female.

Town will be represented by a number of teams, along with a Yorkshire Cancer Research team and, of course, HTSA will be entering a team.

There is already interest from those who entered last year, and some of the P4P5 teams, but there are still a few team spaces available.

Anyone interested in entering a team should email info@htsa-online.co.uk with the subject – “Walking 5-a-side” – and Steve King will let you have all the details.

Please let Steve know as soon as possible or call 07753-634298), and spectators will be welcome with a chance to meet some of the players from all the teams.
