Huddersfield Town will be the toughest test Hull City u21s have faced this season, according to Tigers coach Tony Pennock.

Frankie Bunn's men take on Hull at the John Smith's Stadium on Tuesday night for a place in the u21 Premier League Cup final.

And the opposition reckon that Town's youngsters are the best team they've faced all season - high praise, considering they saw off Category One outfit West Brom earlier in the competition.

"It’s been a very good year for us so far but we want to make it a great year and getting to the final would be the next step towards making that happen," said Pennock.

“However, we know that we face a difficult challenge in trying to achieve that goal. Huddersfield are probably the best side we’ve come up against in the current campaign, so we know we’re in for a tough, tough test tonight.

“We’ve had two good games against each other in the league campaign and it’s honours even so far with one win each.

We came out on top with a 3-1 win at home early in the season , before suffering a 3-2 defeat at Huddersfield in what was our first game of 2016.

“It will be a tough game tonight as I say but you wouldn’t expect anything less when you’re competing in the last four of a cup competition.

"It's definitely our most challenging game of the season so far. Huddersfield are rightly the best team in the competition and sit top of our division.

"But if the lads perform to their potential then we're in with a shout of reaching the final. It’s a big occasion and we’ll give it everything we’ve got to give a good account of ourselves and get the result.”
