Goals from Rekeil Pyke and Flo Bojaj brought Huddersfield Town Under 21s a ninth straight victory in their clash with Leeds United.

Frankie Bunn’s side, who top the Professional Development League II Northern section, were 2-0 winners at Thorp Arch.

Pyke headed home from Duane Holmes’ cross in the 13th minute.

And Bojaj got a touch to Regan Booty’s free-kick in the 28th.

Town’s starting side featured nine players who went to Spain for new Town head coach David Wagner’s training camp last week.

They were keeper Lloyd Allinson, Jack Senior, Regan Booty, Wiliam Boyle, Jacob Hanson, Duane Holmes, Bojaj, Pyke and Ronan Coughlan.

Sondre Tronstad and Ben Holmes completed the XI.

Leeds included keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and striker Lee Erwin, who both featured in Friday’s first-team friendly at Wycombe Wanderers.

Erwin, a close-season signing from Motherwell, scored in the 2-0 win at Wycombe.

But he was kept out by Town, although he hit a post late on.

Leeds’ Lewis Walters had a header cleared off the line while Allinson denied Eoghan Stokes.

Peacick-Farrell saved from Town frontman Coughlan while Booty shot against a post.
