Jack Boyle’s goal earned Huddersfield Town Under 21s a 1-1 draw at Coventry City in their final game before a Professional Development League II play-off semi-final clash at home to Millwall.

The date and venue of the meeting with the Lions have yet to be confirmed - Charlton Athletic will host Sheffield United in the other semi - but Frankie Bunn’s side will be seeking a first win in three.

Since sealing the PDL II North title, they have beaten Cardiff City but lost to Birmingham City as well as drawing with Coventry at the Ricoh Arena in their final regular-season fixture.

Bulgarian international Vladimir Gadzhev, in action as an overage player, gave Coventry a 16th-minute lead with a shot from distance, but Boyle levelled with a deflected 25-yard effort on 37 minutes.

Town gave another run-out to trialist Manchester United keeper George Dorrington while left-sided forward Luca Colville made his debut at Under 21 level.

Millwall, coached by former Fulham and Bristol Rovers midfielder Justin Skinner, sealed runners-up spot to Charlton in PDL II South with a 2-0 win at Ipswich Town.
