It’s a 7.00 kick-off at Emley’s Fantastic Media Welfare Ground, a regular destination for Town’s development team.

Admission will be £6 adults and £4 concessions while under 13s will watch for free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Frankie Bunn’s Town are the reigning Professional Under 21 Development League champions.

They were 2-1 winners over Sheffield United in the play-off final at Bramall Lane.

Emley are preparing for the new Northern Counties East League First Division season.

They were beaten play-off finalists in April.

Boss Darren Hepworth has just signed Joe Brennan, the younger brother of Emley centre-back Tom Brennan.

The attacking midfielder has been released by Bradford City.

Hepworth explained: “Joe has been training with us and immediately impressed.

“He’s had a bit of bad luck with injury that curtailed his chances at Bradford but it speaks volumes he’s chosen to come to play for AFC Emley.”

Emley have also recruited keeper Gary Stevens from Tadcaster Albion, centre-back Adam Wilson from Brighouse Town and midfielder Aaron Joseph from Pontefract Collieries.

They have also retained prolific striker Ashley Flynn, who netted 73 times last season.

Town also have Under 21 friendlies away to Wigan Athletic on Saturday (12.00), West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, July 30 (12.00), Guernsey on Wednesday, August 3 (7.45) and Wolves on Saturday, August 6 (12.00).

Emley visit Hall Green United on Friday (7.45) and Shelley on Wednesday, July 13 (7.30).

They have home friendlies (all 7.45) against Glossop North End (Tuesday, July 19), Rainworth Miners Welfare (Thursday, July 21), Brighouse Town (Tuesday, July 26) and Frickley Athletic (Thursday, July 28).
