A point gained for Huddersfield Town against Brighton - or was it two points lost?

The draw seemed to raise the spirits of some Town fans who saw grounds for optimism in the performance but did you?

At least the players gave the minimum requirement today, hard work! Battled we'll against a better team and deserved some reward. Let's put the drop fears to bed Monday. David, Honley

Fitness levels appear to be low apart from Nakhi Wells. Chased the ball from first minute to the last, some players need to take note of that. Settled for a point even though we were one up, they should be playing to win every time they get on that pitch. Fortune favours the brave! Good goal by Norwood, Scannell very poor. Get this season over with, get players in that will work for the manager and kick on next season. Kevin, Lindley

I would have thought Scannell would have been busting a gut to impress - instead he seemed to gradually lose interest as the match wore on. Hammill has been living off his early season form for months. Good goal from Norwood, then he disappeared again. Luke, Quarmby

Once again the inability to keep a clean cost us three valuable points. In the second half we defended so deep we were almost sat with the Brighton fans. But if being honest would have settled for a point before the match. Richard, Dalton

Not a bad performance, defended too deep at time. Clayton and Wells outstanding. Steve, Outlane

Town played for a point and got one. Another slip-up cost us yet again and Hammill not doing his job. Robins had the chance to change things when players were tiring, but he decided to go even more defensive by bringing on Gobern. He should have brought on Holmes and Lolley to try and win the game. We had 35% possession, which tells everyone how poor we really were. Robins keeps telling everyone what a great squad we have, but it was a backs to the wall display. Stephen, Puerto Santiago

Hard won point against a good side, but still need to move the ball quicker, defenders played really well, need to beat Yeovil on Monday and get those three points. David, Wyke

A real battle. Brighton's quality was evident and we did well to hold them. Wells lacking a partner. Much to build on but a good result. Dale, Holmfirth

Job nearly done, still some fingernails left. Ridiculous that we have got into this situation but can't see any of the bottom four reaching 47 points. Trojanhorse, Kirkburton

A much better performance from the boys against one of the better footballing teams in the division. Nahki Wells is fast becoming a fans' favourite because of his hard work and effort. It is just a pity we cannot set him up with any chances. He was bought as a "finisher" yet he has to plough a lone furrow up front in home and away games as if he was a six foot nine inch centre forward. I sincerely hope it doesn't burn him out before Vaughan returns to partner him, a prospect I am relishing. Are we safe yet? I think we might just make it after the latest round of matches. Blackpool, Doncaster and Charlton, who are not in the relegation places yet have a very tough run in and I just cannot see any of those and the bottom three getting enough points to overtake us now. (Yeovil cannot catch us now anyway) SPH, Almondbury

I was pleasantly surprised to see so many young substitutes and thought MR must surely introduce at least a couple for the 2nd. half. How wrong I was!. Against a very good side there was no lack of determination and effort but MR could have been responsible for us losing with his negative refusal to introduce subs. Our players were having to survive an increasingly constant bombardment and being forced deeper when Brighton introduced their subs and changed formation. MR must never have heard the saying "attack is the best form of defence" as he had attacking players on the bench, in Bunn, Crookes, Lolly and Holmes , who he ignored and he must have been the only person in the ground not to observe that SS is still only a 45 minute player. IMO the makeshift defensive pairing of AG and MW deserve to keep their places on merit and if one of them is replaced by PC it will be a travesty. James, Sheffield

A little ambition and we would have won this match. OK, Brighton were technically better but we had the better chances. I feel there has been a lot of unfair criticism of Mark Robins - the whole club from the top down got it wrong at the turn of the year when they decided to prematurely prepare for next season at the expense of this. Russell, Calder Valley

Thought Town started the first half with good shape and energy pressed high up field, with Brighton not looking a top six team. It was good goal by Norwood. I thought defensively as a team Town look solid with Norwood pressing high to help Wells and we deserve to be ahead at half time. Second half I was disappointed with Town's tactics with the defence dropping deeper and deeper inviting Brighton on who really didn't show much threat apart from Town sitting deep and creating problems for themselves. Could not understand Mark Robins not encouraging the defence to squeeze Brighton and defend higher up field and allowing Norwood drop into midfield to defend when he had been so effective in first half. How can Mark Robins can be satisfied with a point when we could have so easily have had all three points? It appears to me that Mark Robins is happy not to lose and sets his team up accordingly instead of trying to win - and has been like this whole of 2014 consequently Town have stopped winning games. Adam, Brockholes

Better today, particularly the first half. Though hardly a ball sent in from the wing and too many high balls to small players in forward positions. It would also be good to see one player left up the field more often when our team is defending a corner. I also don't see any value to our team having a captain separated from his team, because he is the goalkeeper. Kev, Sowerby Bridge

More commitment and desire today but not many chances created. Need to survive and then plan with big changes. Dick, Waterloo

I was pleased to see a tactical change today. I just feel that 4-1-4-1/4-4-1-1 wasn't right at home with a defense as shaky as Brighton's. If we'd have shown more we could have got all 3 points. Overall though, I should be happy as that 1 point should be enough to see us safe. John, Manchester

Once again Hammill lets us down. In the first half when in the box we had 2 players unmarked in good positions but as usual his head is down and wants to be the star. Their goal came because he didn't track back with the full back. Otherwise apart from him & Scannell the team were up for it and deserved at least a point. David, Huddersfield

Pretty well a decent effort from all the players, but oh dear, is the gem that is Nahki Wells going to get rapidly brassed off if the manager doesn't provide him with greater support, like now! Martin, Outlane
