Burnley lad Oliver Norwood  is ready to run the gauntlet by helping Town win tomorrow.

The midfielder was born and bred in Burnley – but could well be sent to Coventry if Mark Robins’ side seal three points.

“My parents live five minutes from Turf Moor, all my family and friends are big Burnley fans, and I used to watch them as a kid,” explained the Northern Ireland star, 22.

“It’s good to see them up at the top of the table, and their success so far this season gives inspiration to us, because we are similar clubs in terms of history, size and support.

“But Town are my club. I want to win every game I play in, whoever it’s against.”

Former Manchester United man Norwood has good knowledge of Burnley, explaining: “With them top of the table, it’s all I ever hear about from my mates!

“To be fair, they are doing really well, and the two lads up top, Danny Ings and Sam Vokes, have been banging in the goals.

“But they have good player throughout the side. We have studied them closely, and we think we know who we need to stop in order to stop the team.”
