Huddersfield Town's home record against Reading is fairly even with them having won eight games to the Berkshire side’s seven, while four games have ended all square.

They do, however, hold a 27-20 advantage on goals scored.

Reading's first visit to Huddersfield was in the old Fourth Division in February 1976 when Bob Newton and a brace from Terry Gray, left, gave Town a 3-0 win.

Just 6,546 spectators were present at Leeds Road.

Town's biggest home win over Reading, 6-1, was achieved in February 1982 in the Third Division.

Peter Fletcher (2), Mark Lillis, Martin Hicks (og), Dave Cowling and Brian Stanton (left) netted.

Reading's last visit to Huddersfield was back in January 2002 when a goal by Nicky Forster (left) earned them all three points and put them top of the Second Division. Town, under boss Lou Macari, slipped to 12th.
