Huddersfield Town and Manchester City bosses David Wagner and Pep Guardiola will face the media following Town's spirited 2-1 defeat to the Premier League leaders.

Town took the lead in the final minutes of the first half thanks to Christopher Schindler's header being deflected in off Argentinian centre back Nicolas Otamendi.

Town went into the break level, but it took City just two minutes after the interval to level the clash.

Raheem Sterling hit the ground in the box under pressure from Scott Malone, before Sergio Aguero slotted home from the penalty spot.

And the City winger snatched all three points for the visitors late on with a fortunate close-range finish after Jonas Lossl had denied Garbiel Jesus from an acute angle.

Here we'll hear from both the bosses as they reflect on the close-run contest.

That's all

That’s all from the Town boss and that brings the press conference to the end.

Van La Parra

I haven’t spoken with him and I haven’t seen the video footage.

Not a surprise

We lost. I think this isn’t a surprise.

We performed and I expect that it will be a very tough game for us on Wednesday as well.

  • Share

Reaction

We conceded the penalty so early this was not the best situation for us, but how the players reacted afterwards was good.

  • Share

Physicality

This was a little bit what we wanted to do - to try to create a more physical match than a tactical match.

If you make it comfortable for an opponent like Manchester City then you are chanceless.

  • Share

Invest

Even if there is a small chance, you have to believe and invest to make that chance a little bit bigger during the game.

Wednesday we will try again.

  • Share

Chances

We are not stupid, we are not blind.

The chances to get a result against these teams are less than other games.

  • Share

Van La Parra

The boss hasn’t seen the incident leading to Van La Parra’s sending off.

  • Share

Holding

No complaints - I think it was holding.

  • Share

Wednesday

We will take the positives out of the game and recover before Wednesday.

  • Share

Disappointed

Disappointed because of the result.

Happy because of the defensive perforamnce, the desire, the passion.

At the end I think it makes sense to take the positives out of this game - how we defended against the best team in the Premier League.

Wagner

Here he is.

  • Share

That's all

That’s all from Guardiola.

Next up is David Wagner.

  • Share

Happy

At the end you see my face and I was so happy.

We react quite well and that is the point.

In the future if that happens again we know we can do that.

  • Share

On the penalty

The penalty is more than clear.

  • Share

On Sterling

He’s winning games.

Now he’s a game-winner.

  • Share

On Town

They play so aggressive, they jam with their high pressing.

  • Share

Outstanding

We make an outstanding performance in all senses.

  • Share

Wining from behind

We need to win these kind of games in that way because maybe it convinces you more that you can do whatever.

  • Share

Gaps

The gaps were almost impossible but we managed to find them.

  • Share

Deserved

We played quite good in the first half and created more chances than in the second.

We deserved the win because we created more chances and dominated possession.
