MEMORIES were stirred – and money raised – when stars of Huddersfield Town’s 1969-70 Second Division title-winning team enjoyed a reunion at Canalside.

The event, which swelled the Keep It Up coffers by more than £2,600, was organised by Darren Barclay, son-in-law, of popular left-back Geoff Hutt.

The defender who was one of seven ever-presents in what was the last Town side to win promotion to the top-flight, is pictured with Christine Quinn, the daughter of then-manager Ian Greaves, who died in 2009.

Also present were Steve Smith, Steve Kindon, Terry Gray, Trevor Cherry, Terry Dolan, Roy Ellam, Dick Krzywicki, Terry Poole and Brian Greenhalgh.

“The event night was a great success,” said Barclay.

“Along with the ticket sales, we had an auction and raffle of prizes donated by local stores.”
