HUDDERSFIELD Town midfielder Damien Johnson has been ruled out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.

The former Northern Ireland player, who picked up the injury after coming on as a substitute in last Saturday's 2-2 home draw with Rochdale, has a grade-two tear.

Manager Simon Grayson, who said Johnson would be absent for "three to four weeks", also has midfield men Oscar Gobern (hamstring) and Tommy Miller (hernia) sidelined ahead of Saturday's trip to Colchester.

But the outlook is better for both, with Gobern responding to treatment and Miller working with the physio staff and hoping to step up his comeback in the next couple of days.

Right-back Jack Hunt, who took a knock on the ankle against Rochdale, has trained without problem and will travel to Essex while captain and centre-back Peter Clarke is available for selection.
