London is calling for Huddersfield Town - and David Edgar is ready to turn draws into wins.

On Saturday, manager Chris Powell makes his first return to Charlton Athletic since being sacked almost a year ago.

And on Tuesday, Town head for Brentford seeking a third double of the Championship campaign after Millwall and Reading.

On-loan Edgar has already played at both grounds this season with parent club Birmingham City, with the outcome a 1-1 draw on each occasion.

Town, up to 12th in the table after beating Reading 3-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday, are aiming for a third win in four games on the road at The Valley.

And versatile Edgar said: “Why not?

“We have kept two clean sheets in as many games, we have shown we can perform away from home, and we will go to Charlton confident and with a plan.

“If we all do our jobs and keep our concentration levels right, we can get three points.”

The 27-year-old Canadian international is hoping to build on his fifth start for the club against Reading, when he played centre-back, and added: “I’m enjoying my football.

“I like playing as a defensive midfielder, which I have also done since being here, but I’m happy to do whatever the manager asks.”

Town will give tests to 12-goal top scorer Nahki Wells (shoulder), wideman Sean Scannell (hamstring) and midfielder Conor Coady, who missed the Reading game through illness.
